Profile
My landscape architecture /design is driven by art, architecture, nature and the client’s experience; not the science, not the planning and not even the design process. Although those are important and integral parts of the creative process, I push for the land to become art and the generated client experience to be foremost in goal. It is my hope that a client’s landscape project fosters the starting point of a new interaction with the property and their natural environment.
I believe in the freedom and responsibility of a landscape architect/ designer to author a landscape project with the client’s specifications and desires and to take that all the way from initial concept to design details concentrating on exceeding client expectations while respecting the overall budgets set forth by the client.
In the production of the landscape design, I assemble tradesmen with the best talents in a wide range of professional fields to complement the project in a synergistic way. Plant materials are selected and tagged specifically from nursery vendors across the Midwest to insure the highest quality and best values currently available in any given year.
Communication/reporting on a daily or weekly basis to assure a continued client comfort level through the difficult excavation and building stages in a project are as important as the final project walk through.
